The Lock down as a result of COVID-19 has greatly affected the operation of the college and has left many households in a dare state of survival. The impact of COVID 19 has destroyed the sources of livelihoods for the majority households. Everybody’s worry is that, without economic stimulus from the government, these households will not be able to pay fees for their students leading to high dropout cases. The failure to pay fees will in turn negatively impact on our training capacity and the cost of running the training skills centre. The scholarship fund will be the most appropriate support households in skilling their children and other vulnerable categories of people with a livelihood skill.
Covid 19 has also affected the college’s income generating projects like community tourism where community tours were being organised at a cost to supplement the college’s income.
The college community misses the life before the out break of the Corona virus.
